2009 Accomplishments (hauled 3 months total):

Dashing Cleat was the 12th leading barrel horse sire in the country
61% ROM Producer

Deceased

We also believe Dashing Cleat carries the Large Heart Gene (The X-Factor) who he can pass on to his daughters.

Galla Mable ran AA on the track with a SI of 86. She was a very successful match race horse as well. She was by the legendary Rocket Wrangler and out of a AA own daughter of Moolah Bux.

Pictured at Age 22

Rocket Wrangler was foaled in 1968. In 1970, he hit the racetrack, winning seven of his 13 starts, including the Rainbow and All American futurities. He was the year’s high-money-earning horse and was named world champion 2-year-old colt.
After his 1970 win of the All American Futurity, at the time the richest horse race in the world, owner J.R. Adams of Guymon, Oklahoma, sold a half-interest in the horse to B.F. Phillips, who retired the horse to stud.

Rocket Wrangler spent two breeding seasons at Phillips Ranch, then Adams bought back his half-interest and returned the horse to the track. Rocket Wrangler at age 4 won the New Mexico State Fair Handicap over a field that included champion Mr Kid Charge. He was retired from racing permanently in February 1973 and was syndicated in 1980. He sired 1,629 foals, with 1,221 starters and 762 winners.

Rocket Wrangler is 30th on the list of all-time leading sires by earnings and eighth on the list of all-time leading sires by winners. He is 14th on the list of all-time leading broodmare sires by earnings and fifth on the list of all-time leading broodmare sires by winners. His offspring included Rocket’s Magic, Rambling Sallye, Quick Wrangler, War Star Wrangler and American Speed. His foals earned $9,407,809 on the track, with Dash For Cash accounting for $507,689 of that total.

He was euthanized November 28, 1992, after suffering from colic and was buried at Royal Vista Equine in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he was standing. (QH News)

2009

Took Pippy to the BBR World Finals in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We had a bad winter and no races before... so it was her 2nd time seeing the barrels in over 7 months!

Went to the Sherburn, Minnesota Barrel Bash and ran the 20th fastest time out of over 220 runners. She didnt even finish the 2nd barrel! Things started to come together :) Their is no video of the run, but heres a nice warm up in the pen

Went to the NBHA show in Iowa City and clocked in the 1D but pulled over a barrel

Went to the Waterloo, Iowa Barrel Bash and she ran the 20th fastest time of 200 entries but I KICKED the 2nd over leaving it!

Went to the Bloomfield, Iowa NBHA District 5 Barrel race and she won 4th in the 1D with a slip on the 1st barrel!

Pippy then got an abscess and was turned out for almost 2.5  months. Her first run back we loped through at the NBHA district 3 race in Tama top of the 2D.

Then she ran in the 1D at Laddies jackpot

Then we went to the Fishers rodeo and she won the 4th place check!

Went to the NBHA/CKT race and clocked 2D loping to first barrel but barely brushed 3rd barrel down

2008

Started trying to get with her and learn her style. She was started with all leg commands and very little rein pressure - so it was a whole new ball game for me!

We signed up for the Ed Wright clinic and she got sore and was turned out for 2 months... I brought her back and loped her through at the NBHA race in Iowa City and she clocked 1 second off (top 3d)

2007

I bought Pippy in August and moved to Oregon. We had some hit and miss runs with her on the 2nd barrel - she had a ducking issue! Here is the first time I took her through the pattern..

We ran at a big barrel race in Echo, Oregon with a handful of Pro Rodeo girls - we had a nice first and third and a really wild and wide 2nd barrel.. she ran 1 second off (top of the 3D) I ran her in the novice class (horse earnings of under $1500) and ended up winning the 1D!

A couple videos of her in Oregon...

Pippy was hauled a few more times in the Spring of 07 and ran at the Heartland Tour in Ada, Oklahoma with Myle and clocked in the 2D both days.

2005

Pippy went to Myle and was worked with on and off the next year and a half

2002

Pippy was bought by Jill Fargher of The Dalles, OR from CJ Hubbord of Oklahoma. Pippy ended up with Fanchone DeArmond (Rope, Cash and Tygh Myers mother) Fanchone got her broke and trotting the pattern and then sent her to Myle Ratchford in Arkansas in 2005.

2000

Pippy was born in Oklahoma - owned by CJ Hubbord. Owner of Dam and Sire.
